If you want to be a teacher, you've come to the right place.

For more than 150 years, Buffalo State has dedicated its research, scholarship, and community service toward educating the kind of teachers that students remember their whole lives.

The Elementary Education, Literacy, and Educational Leadership (EELEL) department prepares graduates to teach in elementary schools through a broad-based content education, in-depth study of a given discipline, and a professional sequence of courses on how to teach (pedagogy).

Concentrations

All Elementary Education, Literacy, and Educational Leadership Majors must complete a 30-hour concentration in an academic area.
